bind-sdb: The Berkeley Internet Name Domain (BIND) DNS (Domain Name System) server with database backends.

Name:bind-sdb Vendor:Scientific Linux CERN, http://cern.ch/linux
Version:9.3.4 License:BSD-like
Release:6.0.2.P1.el5_2 URL:http://www.isc.org/products/BIND/
Summary
BIND (Berkeley Internet Name Domain) is an implementation of the DNS (Domain Name System) protocols. BIND includes a DNS server (named), which resolves host names to IP addresses; a resolver library (routines for applications to use when interfacing with DNS); and tools for verifying that the DNS server is operating properly. BIND SDB (Simplified Database Backend) provides named_sdb, the DNS name server compiled to include support for using alternative Zone Databases stored in an LDAP server (ldapdb), a postgreSQL database (pgsqldb), or in the filesystem (dirdb), in addition to the standard in-memory RBT (Red Black Tree) zone database.
